

The graphic of a Koopa Troopa that is seen shortly after the start of the course has now been removed. The color of the rocks that make up the mountainous aspect of the course are now an orangy-color instead of gray. The finish/starting line banner has been redesigned, with two pipes holding the Mario Kart sign, along with a green shell on top moving side to side. For starters, many of the half-pipe sections have been re-added since the Mario Kart 7 iteration of the course. In Mario Kart Tour, Koopa Cape receives an aesthetic and graphical overhaul, although many of the gameplay changes made in the Mario Kart 7 version have been retained. The Koopa Zappers are removed and now Cheep Cheeps swim toward the racers acting as an equivalent obstacle. Also the tunnel's top half has been removed flooding it with water, making it an underwater section.

In Mario Kart 7, the ramp that leads to the river is now a gliding ramp.
